Mirko Dozan, MD

After graduating from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, Dr. Dozan began his surgical residency in Germany, where he completed his specialization in plastic, reconstructive, and esthetic surgery at the renowned University hospital rechts der Isar of the Technical University Munich.

In addition to his residency in plastic surgery, he participates in scientific work, and in 2019 he defended his doctoral thesis in plastic surgery at the Technical University Munich (TUM). During his studies in Zagreb, he was awarded the Rector’s Award for scientific work and special achievements, as well as the Dean’s Award for the best student in the 6th year of study. Dr. Dozan has been passionate for medicine and plastic surgery since his early years, and he pursued his dream by joining the team of the respected Prof. Ninkovic, a role model in his work.

After working at the University Hospital in Munich, he continued his work in a specialized practice for the surgical treatment of lipoedema and body contouring, where through hundreds of performed procedures he gained a recognized name, especially in the field of lipoedema. This disease is not yet sufficiently researched in our area.

Dr. Dozan has participated in numerous international congresses and seminars in Germany, France, Great Britain, Slovenia, and Croatia, continuously improving his skills. He is a member of professional organizations such as DGPRAEC (German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Esthetic Surgery; Berlin, Germany), DAM (German-speaking Working Group for Microsurgery (Basel, Switzerland) and HDPREK (Croatian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive an Esthetic Surgery).
